Students learn about the meaning of the sacrament of Holy Communion, which is a time to celebrate that God is present with us and, that through God's grace, He has freed us from the power of sin and death.
At St. Paul’s we believe that children are ready to receive Holy Communion for the first time when they have the affirmation and support of their parent(s) and have received appropriate instruction from Luther’s Small Catechism. All children, along with their parent(s), are invited to attend two preparatory sessions.
