Worship

The congregation at St. Paul’s continually listens to the Word of God through Scripture, preaching, and receiving of the sacraments. In order to assist members to acknowledge God’s rule over their lives, their own unity as Christ’s body on earth, and to express their relationship with God in public and in private, the congregation gathers for worship regularly. In accordance with the traditions of the Lutheran Church, the congregation recruits, equips, and supports its members for leadership in worship. Here at St. Paul’s we want to make certain that worship and prayer have a place in all functions of the congregation. Various components contribute to worship at St. Paul’s, and we encourage you to explore them all!

Our Christmas Celebration

Barn Service

As we prepared for Christmas at St. Paul’s, one of the Advent highlights was a Sunday evening worship service held in the simple, earthy surroundings of a local barn.  We sat on bales of hay, sang carols accompanied by guitar and listened to Bible readings about the events leading up to and including the birth of Christ.  In the quiet of the evening, in the cold of the “stable” we celebrated Holy Communion, the birth of the Christ Child and the gift of salvation given to all of us through His birth, death and resurrection.
